What is offered by Frederick Maker Market?

You get a dedicated search-engine optimized website with full hosting capacity, complete with analytics to measure your website traffic and sales, promotion through our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter), through blog posts, and through email marketing, as well as opportunities to be a featured maker, have featured products and to connect to our customer base through guest blog posts. 

How much does it cost to have my storefront on Frederick Maker Market? 

Setting up a shop is free. Once an item is sold the fee is 4% processing and 3% +.50 transaction fee for each product including shipping. These fees cover hosting your store, processing and payment transaction fees.

What are the steps for setting up my shop?

Fill out “Set Up Shop”. Frederick Maker Market will review your information and will send you an email with the next steps to set up your shop. 

Who will set up my products in my shop?

You will set up your shop. Frederick Maker Market will provide log-in information, instructions for you to set your shop up and helpful customer service. The platform is user-friendly and easy to navigate. 

Geographical requirement:

All Frederick County makers are welcome to be part of Frederick Maker Market as well as surrounding areas. 

What payment options are available to my customers?

Accepted payment options include Mastercard, Visa, Discover, American Express, Paypal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, JCB and Elo.

How will I get paid for my sold products?

Payments will be distributed monthly through internet banking. 

How will my shop be marketed?

Frederick Maker Market will be using web-based and outside marketing strategies.  Our site will feature member interviews and products, DIY tips, and information on how to set-up your shop and business tips. 

Will my products be featured?

We will have feature makers and products on our website. We will also feature products and shops in outside advertising. 

How will I be informed of changes?

We will email our makers of any changes at Frederick Maker Market.

I no longer want to be a part of Frederick Maker Market. What do I do?

Just let us know via email and we will remove your shop and products. We can also disable your shop and re-open if you need to pause your shop.

Am I in charge of shipping and delivery?

Yes. You can decide how you want to ship or deliver your items to your customers. Shipping charges can be calculated through your shop or you can add the cost of shipping to your product price.
